Phillips Wharf Environmental Center hosts Tidy up Tilghman April 9th

Tidy Up Tilghman 2016
6129 Tilghman Island Road
Tilghman, MD 21671

Tidy UP Tilghman Project Clean Stream volunteers, 2015

Join your neighbors and help clean up our beautiful waterways on April 9, 2016.
This fun, community wide effort gets tons of trash “off the street!” and puts it in its proper place every year! Last year ninety-two Tidy Up volunteers collected sixty bags of recycling, 2382 cigarette butts, twenty-two tires and over a ten cubic yards of regular trash!
Tilghman Project Clean Stream volunteers are requested to meet at the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center by 9 am.  The on-site coordinator, Barbara Boyd, will hand out supplies (bags, gloves) and give the team direction on where to go. This effort is part of a state-wide challenge for citizens to do their part and help keep the watershed clean.
Fact:  By the year 2050 there will be more plastics in the ocean then fish!  Please help to stem the tide of plastics and other debris into our beloved Chesapeake Bay.  Service Learning Hours available
Project Clean Stream is a state-wide program organized and coordinated by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, a regional 501(c)3 non-profit.
